The hearing of representatives from the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education by the committee as part of the American accreditation procedure for medical programs conducted by The National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) was successful.
On June 5th, the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (a committee within the U.S. Department of Education focused on medical education), after reviewing the self-assessment report prepared by the Polish Accreditation Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and after a public hearing of the Polish delegation members, decided to extend the positive evaluation of the assessment and accreditation system of Polish medical universities.
This decision means that Polish medical universities can apply to participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program, allowing American students to apply for funding for their studies at Polish medical universities.
