PKA – ARACIS Memorandum of Understanding

On September 20, 2024, in Bucharest, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS) and the Polish Accreditation Committee.

The signatories of the agreement are Prof. Valentin Navrapescu (ARACIS) and Prof. Janusz Uriasz (PKA). 

Key Points of Agreement

PKA and ARACIS, both independent bodies, aim to collaborate to enhance the quality of higher education in Poland and Romania. They are members of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), share similar missions, focusing on promoting high standards in education and improving institutional quality.

The collaboration will focus on:

  • Mutual Understanding: Learning about each other’s quality assurance systems.
  • Information Exchange: Sharing updates on higher education, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection laws.
  • Staff Development: Supporting staff exchanges and training.
  • Use of Reviewers: Involving specialists from each other’s systems to enhance international aspects of reviews.
  • Recognition: Considering each other’s quality assurance decisions where applicable.
  • Collaborative Projects: Working together on initiatives such as transnational education, quality recognition, and combating fraudulent institutions.
