Direcive 2013/55/EU amending directive or European Commission no. 2005/36/EC regarding recognition of professional qualifications came into force on January 18th, 2014 (Member States will have a two year transposition period to make the necessary adjustments to their national legislations).
Among introduced amendments especially worth to mention are so called Common Training Frameworks (CTFs) which will allow groups of at least one third of Member States to agree curricula based on common set of knowledge, skills and competences indispensable for given profession.
