HEInnovate portal is a self-assessment tool developed by European Commission' Department for Education and Culture in cooperation with OECD Local Economic and Employment Development forum for Higher Education Institutions designed to help interested organisations assess themselves against statements which are organised under the following seven areas: 1) Leadership and Governance; 2) Organisational Capacity, People and Incentives; 3) Entrepreneurship development in teaching and learning; 4) Pathways for entrepreneurs; 5) University – business/external relationships for knowledge exchange; 6) The Entrepreneurial University as an internationalised institution; 7) Measuring the impact of the Entrepreneurial University.
HEInnovate is open to everyone. It allows for anonymous responses but also requires users to register.
HEInnovate is not a benchmarking tool. It can be used by individuals or by groups of stakeholders assigned by the system to a HEI group. The group function enables university stakeholders to come together and compare their assessments internally, and also compare against previous assessments (if they were submitted).
