Revision of European Standards and Guidelines.

On 18 March 2014, the E4-Group (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, European Students Union, European University Association and European Association of Institutions in Higher Education) in cooperation with Education International, BUSINESSEUROPE and the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), will organise a briefing on the launch of the proposal for the revised European Standard and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ESG).

ESG were developed in reaction to Berlin communiqué of September 2003 in which the ministers of Bologna Process signatory states invited European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) in cooperation with other members of the E-4 Group to define an agreed set of standards, procedures and guidelines for quality assurance and means of external reviews of quality.

Currently binding European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance where published in 2005.
