The Council of Europe, the International Consortium for Higher Education, Civic Responsibility and Democracy, the European Wergeland Centre, and Queen’s University will carry out on June 25 – 27 the event called Global Forum on “Higher Education and Democratic Innovation”.
The conference that will take in Belfast will be a part of the cooperation between partners committed to promoting democracy, human rights and the rule of law as well as social cohesion and intercultural dialogue who believe that education is a cornerstone for those ideas. That belief is reflected in the conference agenda that key foci will refer to the role of higher education in democratic citizenships, the role of higher education institutions in the act of builiding of mutually beneficial partnerships with local communities and the importance of interactions with stakeholders.
